The Paleopolis-Mon Repos museum is housed in a mansion, which is a typical example of neoclassical architecture (1828-1831). It was built during the British rule by the High Commissioner of the Ionian Islands, Sir Frederick Adam. It has been available to the public since 2001 and hosts a permanent exhibition that includes original artifacts and observational material from various perspectives of history. The exhibition is based on two thematic sections: a) aspects of the building's history and b) ancient monuments in its surroundings. It is spread over fourteen rooms on the ground floor and the first floor of the mai building. More specifically, the structure of the permanent exhibition is as follows:

The ground floor includes eight rooms. The following are displayed in each room:

  • Room 1: Contains informative material regarding the organization of the exhibition and the history of the building.
  • Room 2: Contains a permanent photographic exhibition concerning the period of the Anglo-occupation in Corfu.
  • Room 3: Contains material relating to the mansion's first occupants, Lord and Lady Adam (1828-1831).
  • Room 4: Refers to the use of the mansion as a public building (1832-1864) and as a summer residence of the former royal family as a summer residence (1864-1967).
  • Room 5: Presents material from the first archaeological investigations in Paleopolis (19th century).
  • Room 6: The atrium provides a brief reference of the estate's botanical garden.
  • Room 7: Contains the model of the Kanoni peninsula depicting the locations of the ancient monuments. It also contains a chronological chart of the history of the city of Corfu.
  • Room 8: It is decorated in Regency Style (early 19th century).

The first floor includes six rooms. The following are displayed in detail in each room:

  • Room 9: Contains the exhibition "Circumnavigation" which is dedicated to the fundamental role and critical location of Corfu within the Mediterranean Sea.
  • Room 10: Presents the Agora of the ancient city as a commercial, political and economic center.
  • Room 11: Presents the Roman baths in the Agora of the ancient city.
  • Room 12: Presents the architecture and cult rituals of the sanctuaries of ancient Corfu.
  • Room 13: Contains an exhibition comprising photographic material from the most important sites of Paleopolis and their excavations.
  • Room 14: This room functions as a video screening area with the theme "Corfu: from ancient city to modern town".

Finally, the second floor hosts temporary exhibitions and several other educational activities.
